High-energy musical Lysistrata Jones hits the Aurora Fox Mainstage with humor, heart and hoops, offering a modern spin on Aristophanes' bawdy comedy about the women of Ancient Greece withholding sex in order to get their men to end the war. In this reincarnation, we have a group of college students -- Lyssie J. and her cheerleader posse -- who won't "give it up" until their basketball-playing boyfriends win a game. A hilarious book and an upbeat pop score keeps the performers in constant motion, performing basketball stunts, cheerleader flips, hip-hop moves, b-boying and all manner of dancing.
